Doing the right things for the wrong reasons

Episode #1

If you heard the first season of this podcast, you know that season was about the outside journey — how I built a business, what worked, what I refused to do, and the strategies that changed my life. My goal was to empower those of you who may be sitting on the sidelines, not wanting to compromise your professionalism to become successful online, but also depriving the world of your gifts. Tough love. But this season is about the inside journey. For two reasons. First, many of you coach high achieving people, or want to. This puts words to what they are experiencing that they may not be able to articulate as it is happening. And second, because sometimes people see the results, the confidence, the calm exterior… and they assume the path there must have felt calm too. It didn’t. You’ll hear how I did great things for the entirely wrong and painful reasons. This first episode is about the version of me who looked high-functioning on paper, but was driven by pressure, fear, and patterns I didn’t yet understand. The assumptions I made about what I was almost entitled to just because I had one area of my life figured out.
